IN THIS ISSUE:
Stop Leaving Money On The Table
One of the greatest joys I discovered in my career was getting paid royalties.
Without them, I would have been just another copywriter struggling to find job after job, getting paid just once.
With royalties and commissions, I could work once and get paid over and over again. If you are not getting paid royalties or commissions for your work, you are leaving money on the table. Don't do this
Remember:you are a creator.
Publishers, offer owners and marketers cannot sell their goods unless they have great writers like you selling for them.
When I think about having had control packages that have lasted over 10 years, I still get chills down my spine.
Imagine waking up in the morning, checking your email, and seeing a notification that another payment has landed in your account. CHA-CHING!
I can't tell you how great it feels to receive checks like these over and over and over.

That's what royalties can do for you. They provide a steady stream of income that frees you from the constant hustle of chasing new gigs.
This is how I made millions of dollars
writing copy--from the royalties not just collecting fees.
To be sure, earning royalties doesn't happen overnight. It requires building relationships with clients who understand the value of your work and are willing to invest in it.
It means negotiating contracts that include royalty clauses and sometimes even educating
clients on why it's in their best interest to agree to those terms.
But trust me, once you start earning royalties, you'll never want to go back. It’s a game-changer, a career-defining moment that sets you apart from the rest of the pack.
The bottom line is this:
You owe it to yourself to get
compensated fairly for the value you bring to the table.
Remember, you’re not just writing for the paycheck you get today; you’re writing for the wealth and freedom that can come in the years to come. Aim high, negotiate smart, and never settle for less than you’re worth.
The
rewards are out there—grab them!
All good wishes,
Doug D’Anna
P.S. The best way to get paid royalties is to make sure your contract spells everything out. If yours doesn't, mine does. You can grab a copy here.
