This approach helps to establish a connection with your audience, making your message more relatable and engaging. This is how you can create content that feels authentic and inviting to readers, encouraging them to continue reading and engage with your message.
- Explain like you're talking to your mom
Do this, and you can ensure that your message is easily understood by a wide audience. If mom gets it, so will everyone else.
- Romance like you're wooing your girlfriend
This needs no explanation. Long-form copy is a marathon, not a sprint. You can’t rush it. In order to keep them reading, your copy must evoke feelings of
excitement, passion, or desire from start to finish.
- Persuade like you're pitching a venture capitalist
You’ll NEVER get
the money if you don’t present compelling arguments, backed by evidence and testimonials, to convince readers of the value proposition you're offering. This is why the most successful VSLs and long-form landing pages do just that.
- Edit like you're polishing a
gem
Treat each word and sentence with care. Does ‘that word’ paint the picture you want in your reader's eyes? Keep that in mind when you are editing, and you will make more money.
- Test like a science experiment
As I always tell my clients, “I only know what the numbers tell me”.

and make sure those insights are integrated into your messaging.
