How many subscriptions are sucking your bank account dry?
My guess is that you've never taken the time to count them.
There's Netflix, for sure.
Then there's Spotify for music lovers.
Then there's Amazon Prime and a host of others: Quicken, Adobe, Microsoft Word.
Today, it's rare that you could even buy any software--they are renting it to you.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Americans spent $29.11 billion on digital subscriptions. The subscription business started years ago
as a way to sell magazines. The concept has since expanded to include virtually everything you can buy.
In fact, I pay like $9.99 a month to Tesla for the Internet connection. Can you believe it? It's insane.
But as I have always said, I would rather be paid recurring revenues than pay them. If you feel the same, then this post was written
for you.
That's because subscription sales could be your ticket to financial freedom.
In fact, I have spent nearly my entire career selling subscriptions on the high end--investment newsletters and trading advisories that cost anywhere from $49 a month to $5,000 a year or more.
If you are serious about making it big as a copywriter, then I would implore that you learn everything you can about selling subscriptions.
I would take a page out of the Netflix business model and make it yours. I call it "working once and getting paid over and over again."
That's why I created my own subscription model of sorts. Let me
explain..
For one FEE ($25,000), I would write and re-write an email landing page or VSL forever, as long as it was the control. Those rewrites were not exactly free; they were for the royalty they would pay me.
Every 90 days I would get paid out again and again for EACH ad that I had written. Those royalties added up to over $100,000 every 90 days.
Cha-Ching.
More than that, my model built a moat around my clients that my competitors could not pierce. Why would my client shell out another $10,000, $15,000 or $25,000 to another writer compete against me, when I would give them updates seemingly for free?
They didn't, and I made out like a bandit. Every 90
days I would collect my hundred grand or so, smiling all the way to the bank.
KEY TO SUCCESS:
I found the real master key to selling subscriptions comes down to understanding what exactly you are selling.
In my case, it
was the concept of advice. Specialized knowledge that a financial mentor could bring you that would make you RICH.
The richer I would make you, the higher the price of the subscription. It all came down to selling the concept of wealth and riches.
As I would say in Spanish, "Vendo el sueño dorado" which means "I sell the golden
dream."
And, that, my friend, is what people are buying. Dreams... dreams that you are putting in their head as you write your copy and hand walk them to the order form.
Frankly, it doesn't matter what you're selling. You are selling something that someone wants and/or needs over and over again. Like food, water, electricity, internet
access.
Think razor and blade business. They give you the razor, but you must continue to buy the blades, and the shave soap, and the moisturizer, etc.
Which is why if you want to grab your share of the $29 billion that is spent on subscriptions, now is the time to educate yourself.
That's where I can help you success into this lucrative business, by teaching and coaching you on how to sell the dream and collect the money over and over and over--it's all a part of my monthly mentoring.
And yes, it's a subscription service.
That is the copywriting model that you will learn. Some mentees stay for a month. Others
for six months. I have one long-term client for over a year--working together to hone his copy and upgrade his offers.
You'll get to the price and you'll say, "that's not cheap!"
But then again, you're getting my 38+ years of knowledge on how I sold over $100,000,000 worth of subscriptions. to investment newsletters and trading services.
If you would like to possess that same knowledge, I invite you to join my program. You too, can get on that gravy train and work once, and get paid over and over again.
