One simple skill that will make you a high-level copywriter. And you'll never guess
what it is...
Everyone on Twitter talks about the one skill you need to learn to make you an expert at copywriting.
The funny part is, all of them are wrong.
Yeah... you can read the books, study the swipes, and watch every video sales letter on the planet. But those books will not set you apart from
the rest; they
won't help you if you can't execute. They certainly won't help you write any faster.
The fact is, the more powerful skill you must learn in order to become a high-level copywriter is the simplest. What is it?
Typing. That's right. Typing. You'll never free your mind if you are
hunting and pecking to type sales letters, emails, or landing pages.
In fact, as I type this, I am sitting at my keyboard, spitballing this in real-time. My fingers are working like magic. I don't have to tell them which keystroke to hit as I type; it comes directly from my mind to my fingers. BOOM. Just like that.
If you
want to excel at copywriting, your ideas should come directly from your mind to your fingers like magic. It will never happen unless you learn to type.
I know they call it keyboarding today, but the fact is if you cannot type quickly without looking at the keyboard, you are handicapped when it comes to copywriting.
You will never
achieve the greatness inside you because you will struggle to let it out.
My advice: learn to type today. Take a course and commit to it. You will thank me when you do.
All good wishes,
Doug D'Anna
P..S. I learned how to type a a freshman in high school.
P.P.S. I wrote this post in all of five minute without looking at the keyboard.
