Remember Show and Tell in kindergarten?
You would bring something from home and tell your classmates about it.
Little did you realize that this was your first foray into copywriting.
You see, that simple exercise is not different from copywriting.
But instead of telling everyone about your new toy, for example, you are trying to sell them that toy!
You were a storyteller doing a product demonstration at six years old and didn't even know it.
Imagine if you got a commission on everyone who went home to their moms and dads and convinced them to buy that toy.
After all, you loved that toy so much you were getting your classmates to salivate like a dog, getting them to ask their Mom and Dad to get them that toy too.
That’s why show and tell parallels that same copywriting skills as captivating attention, weaving captivating narratives, nurturing emotional connections, appealing to the senses, and fostering engagement.
