Understand the Buyer's Persona
Every product or service has its target audience. Mine were investors who subscribed to investment newsletters and trading services. People who want to get rich and are in search of the secret stock or system that will make them rich.
As a result, I knew who they are, what they need, their pain points, and desires. As a result, my copy spoke to them. They felt that each one of my promotions spoke directly to them, making them feel that I designed an offer just for them.
2. Highlight the Value, Not the Features
This goes way beyond benefits.
You see, if someone is going to spend that kind of money, you must understand they are not buying a product or service.
They are buying dreams and experiences. You must paint the picture in their mind of what that would look like…
Example:
No matter what you are selling, these are the same kinds of dreams that will move your your readers to do a swan dive to the order form.
3. Use Social Proof
As I always say, nobody buys if they don't believe. The best way to do that is to prove that what you are selling is going to deliver the outcome you are promising.
I’m not just talking about showing a bunch of testimonials or endorsements or track records, I’m talking about weaving all of that into a compelling story that moves your readers to believe that your copy delivers the goods.

4. Craft Compelling Headlines
You might have the best sales copy in the world, but if your headline doesn't grab attention, nobody will read it. Your headline should be clear, convey a benefit, and
evoke curiosity.
This is how my copy sold over $100 million of subscriptions to the high-end trading service.
This headline for Inner Circle Pro did just that--all while including social proof I mentioned
earlier!
5. You must have a great offer
And I mean a GREAT OFFER.
That offer for Inner Circle Pro was a great offer.
This is one thing copywriters simply do not understand.
Just because you can
tell a great story, and get them to read your copy, if you don’t have a GREAT OFFER, they will never buy a $100 offer let alone a $1,000 one.

6. Be a GREAT Storyteller
If you want people to give you $1,000 or more, you must weave a web that compels them to buy. My email promotion for Louis Navellier’s Platinum Growth Letter did just that.

The copy told the story of exactly how the reader could do just that—and PROVED IT!
So it’s no wonder the first roll-out brought nearly 100 orders at a whopping $6,776 each. And we continued to roll out this piece over and over and over.

7. Address Objections Proactively
Of course, nobody spends that kind of money if you can’t answer their questions proactively. This is where most copywriters miss the mark. They don’t answer every objection a reader might have.
If you want to rise to the level that makes you a high-ticket copywriter, you must learn how to address the objections your potential clients might have and address them in your copy.
By answering these objections, you're removing barriers between your prospects and the purchase, you'll see exactly how I did it in this multi-million dollar email. All using the techniques above with a whole lot fear of missing out (FOMO).
8. Create a Sense of Urgency
You can’t sell a high-end product without some kind of limited-time offer or deadline.
That $6,776 deal jumps to $11,294 if they do not act now. Nor would they get all the services FREE, as pointed out in the copy. My readers only had 24 hours to make a decision.
Talk about FOMO!
It is precisely that kind of sense of urgency that can nudge prospects who are on the fence to make a decision. Whether it's a limited-time offer, bonus, or a decreasing stock count, make it clear that they need to act fast.
My copy ensured that!
“Seriously—at $6,776 for a year’s membership, there’s no way we can afford to keep this offer open-ended AND refund our loyal readers for the costs of their past subscriptions.”
It was techniques like these that I repeated over and over and over, that made me one of the country’s highest-paid copywriters for selling high-end back-end deals.
