Why 'Good' Isn't 'Good Enough"
My Personal Blueprint for
Excellence
Throughout my life, I've always had this internal compass that points towards excellence, whether it be in business or in sports.
I mean, why settle for "good enough" when there's a whole world of awesomeness waiting out there?
But, why aim for
excellence?
Personal Growth:
Every time I've pushed myself a bit more, I've learned something new. It’s like leveling up in jiu-jitsu, except this is real life.
Standing
Out:
Let's face it, in today's world, just being "good" doesn’t make much noise. But striving for excellence? That's what gets you noticed! That's what gets you beating the control over and over and over.
Tapping into Your Potential:
I believe we've all
got some hidden superhero inside of us. Mine happened to be writing emails, landing pages, and video sales letters for the world's top publishing companies.
Why not bring it your best?
Inspiring Others:
By setting a high bar for yourself, you end up motivating others to
do the same. It's like this cool ripple effect.
This is why my coaching program has developed some of the top copywriters in the world. I couldn't be prouder.
Okay, so how do you aim for excellence?
Set Goals:
I always ask myself, "What am I really aiming for?" Having clear goals is like having a GPS for life. When you know what you want, going after it makes if so much easier.
Never Stop Learning:
There's always something new out there. For me, every day is a school day. The world's changing, and I want to keep up!
This is how I transitioned form writing sales letters, direct mail packages, magalogs, emails. landing pages, and video sales letters at the highest level.
Feedback is Gold:
BUT ONLY from respected business partners. This is why you must always work with others who demand excellence as well--otherwise you will be
listening to the wrong people and getting bad advice.
Stay the Course:
The road to awesome isn't always smooth. But, every time I've stumbled or faced a challenge, it's been a lesson in disguise. Like the time a client tried to rip me off. That's when I learned to have a contract and vet the people you are working with.
Practice, Practice, Practice:
Just like playing an instrument or a sport, the more you do something, the better you get. Simple, right?
This is how I could write so many promotions so fast. I established a formula that worked that I could tap into over and over.
The Real Rewards
Here's the best part. I found that beating the control as not always the best reward. it was knowing that I've done my
absolute best. That I was proud of my work. I could hold my head up high regardless of the outcome.
The Bottomline Here is This:
In the words of Vince Lombardi, "Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence." It's a pursuit that's both challenging and rewarding.
So, embed excellence into your goals, habits, and mindset. Elevate your life, achieve remarkable feats, and inspire others along the way.
That’s the whole reason I created my monthly mentorship program — to help you aim for the stars and achieve the same success I have attained.
So, why settle for good when you can aim
for great?
The first step in your quests begins now! Take it.
All good wishes,
Doug D'Anna.
