Courses Will Never Teach You
Make no mistake about it...
Copywriting books and courses are valuable resources for learning the foundational principles of our craft.
This is where I began my copywriting journey.
But they fall short of teaching you how to integrate that theory into your thinking. In order to effectively apply copywriting theory you need to
Study winning emails, landing pages, and video sales letters, and
Analyze why they worked so well.
The
reason is simple:
When you look inside a great email, landing page, or video sales letter speaks, you will see firsthand how it speaks directly to the needs and desires of the target audience.
But that's just half of it.
You must embody that knowledge in a way that it becomes a part of you.
This means getting into the heads of the writer and the reader. This is the only way you will learn how to turn theory into action.
In other words, it must be part of you.
Your thinking.
Just like Superman has X-ray vision to see through buildings.
Great copywriters acquire X-ray vision that will allow them to see the available
means of persuasion in any given situation and then win the reader's mind through argument.
