I don't know where you are it in your copywriting journey, but I do know this:
It can be difficult to secure new business and make the kind of money you want as a copywriter. However, it's important to remember that success takes time and persistence. Don't give up on your dreams and aspirations, instead,
keep pushing forward.
It's important to remember that you have a valuable set of skills that can help businesses achieve their goals.
Keep honing your craft and positioning yourself as an expert in your field. Network and build relationships with other professionals in your industry. Make sure your portfolio is up-to-date and showcases your best work.
Be confident and assertive when discussing fees with potential clients.
Remember that you are providing a valuable service and should be compensated accordingly. And don't be afraid to follow up with potential clients, even if they don't have an immediate need for your services, they may remember you when they do.
It's also important to keep in mind that the industry is constantly evolving, so stay
up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques, and be open to learning new things.
Don't think it was easy for me.
I remember in 1989, I made zero money.
But I didn't let that discourage me. I knew that success takes time and persistence. I worked hard and determined to improve my craft, I networked and built relationships with other professionals in my industry, and I made
sure my portfolio was up-to-date and showcased my best work.
And remember-there was no internet at the time. It was all cold calling and direct mail selling.
Yet, through hard work and determination, I was able to turn things around. I averaged over $250,000 for 30 years, $400,000 for 20 years, and $500,000 for 10 years. My biggest year came in at $700,000.
And I want to let you know that if you follow my steps, you can do the same.
It's important to remember that success is not always a straight path, and it may take time and effort to get to where you want to be.
But, if you stay focused, work hard, and be patient, you will get there. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and know that you have what it takes to succeed. Remember, my
story is a living proof that it's possible to overcome struggles and achieve success as a copywriter.
Whether you decide to purchase a copy or not, just keep pushing forward and don't let setbacks or rejections discourage you.
Stay motivated and always strive to improve your craft. Network and build relationships with other professionals in your industry.
And always be open to learning new things and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
Best of luck on your journey,
Doug D'Anna
