How to write a cold DM
without sounding like a desperate, love-sick puppy or a total jerk
First things first, no generic
crap.
You gotta connect on a
personal level, mention something they've posted or reference something from their profile page. This shows that you've done your research and ain't just blindly sending DMs to anyone with a pulse.
Keep it short and sweet,
folks. I ain't got time to read a novel, and neither does anyone else. So, keep your message concise and to the point, like a haiku but less poetic.
Be a pro, my friends. I made
killing cold calling, and the reason is simple: I knew what my prospect wanted and showed them how I could get it for them.
Be clear about what you're
offering, people. Half the DMs I get are like unsolved mysteries, and yet they want me to jump on a quick chat. No way. Don't waste my time or theirs.
Offer value, my friends. The
reason I'm reaching out to you is to make you rich because that gets my attention and I'm sure it'll get yours too.
And finally, include a smart
call to action, not a dumb one. Even offering something for free, like a joke or a smile, it's priceless.
So, there you have it, folks.
Do your research, hire a copywriter if necessary, and always offer value.
All good wishes for profitable
