If you are looking for clients, I would recommend that you open a Twitter account and start tweeting.
That's what I have been doing since September of last year when a young copywriter I was coaching Tweeted me a recommendation.
Little did I know that he was a big name on Twitter.
Overnight, my 200-person following jumped to 400.
When I asked him about this he told me straight up, "Twitter is Money Doug. You've got to get on Twitter. Nobody has your experience."
So I started Tweeting copy ideas, platitudes, and results.
In just a few months my Twitter count ballooned from 400 to 800 to 1000.
Then other big names started following me and retweeting my tweets.
When I hit 1900 followers, sent out this one Tweet that went viral.

And I'm really retired!

I think it's a much better way to market yourself than LinkedIn, where I don't believe I've ever picked up a client.
What I like about Tweeting on Twitter, is that you don't always have to have long complicated stories.
Just simple Tweets that attract followers--followers you can convert to fans and buyers.
